Alibek Salimbetov

Alibek Salimbetov is a strategy and investment professional with over 10 years of experience in private equity, management consulting, and corporate finance. He has held roles across the full investment lifecycle, including due diligence, value creation, operational improvement, and strategic advisory for leading companies in Central Asia, Europe, and North America.

Alibek spent several years at McKinsey & Company, progressing from Business Analyst to Senior Engagement Manager in the Private Equity & Principal Investors practice. In these roles, he supported global private equity firms on commercial due diligence, growth strategy, post-merger integration, and operational diagnostics across sectors including TMT, metals & mining, O&G, and consumer industries.

He began his career at PwC, Verny Capital, and Kazakh Invest, gaining early experience in M&A, investment analysis, and strategic project work for institutional clients.

Alibek holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Nazarbayev University, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class.
